California/Nevada Sales Associate - Old Trestle Distillery

Based in Truckee California, at the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Old Trestle Distillery exists to pioneer new traditions. We are looking for a Sales Associate to launch and grow our brand and our spirit sales. Old Trestle was founded in 2012 and is managed by Truckee Craft Ventures. With a full suite of offerings, and a tasting room coming later this year, Old Trestle is re-thinking what a distillery can be. As a Sales Associate, and the first sales hire, you will be tasked with driving process and growth. This role will be expected to launch new markets in northern California and Reno/Nevada, manage multiple distributor relationships and establish sales forecasts, plans, and budgets while working closely with Production, Marketing, and Finance to deliver market projections and objectives.  If this is you, come help us build a globally recognized brand out of Truckee, CA.



  • Be the quintessential Old Trestle ambassador promoting our brand and mission wherever you go

  • Work directly with our CEO, COO, and Master distiller to develop quarterly and annual forecasts

  • Develop and execute against monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals

  • Manage our sales operations to ensure we are consistently growing sales with existing customers as well as adding new customers to grow our total base.

  • Support and manage distributor relationships to ensure they are securing new business.

  • Create and deliver product and sales training to distributor partners

  • Lead weekly sales meetings to review sales data, inventory, trends, and production

  • Represent Old Trestle at industry events and meetings to promote our brand



  • You have experience in the spirits industry and have demonstrated the ability to both open, and grow markets.

  • You are a detail-oriented, highly organized, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to exercise accountability and responsibility.

  • You have a general business acumen and the ability to be detail oriented.

  • You thrive on structure but can solve problems without it.

  • You are process driven and can create process and find systems to help a company grow.

  • You are data-driven and comfortable with spreadsheets for planning and analysis

  • You are a team player who contributes to camaraderie and a pleasant working environment.

  • You have exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills. You’re a people person with the ability to speak in front of groups and conduct training programs.

  • You are outcome oriented and focus on being productive, not busy.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

  • 5 or more years of spirits sales experience. Experience managing a sales team is a plus.

  • Knowledge of distributor operations and business models.

  • Comfortable with travel (up to 50% of the time as needed)

  • Based in/near Sacramento or Truckee.
