Dear TCV Family,
What a long, strange trip this has been. The last year has been absolutely unprecedented. Between the Pandemic, political turmoil, civil rights unrest, and everything else that went on in our world last year, never has our society – locally, nationally, or globally – been so tested.
It’s important to take the time to pause, breathe deeply, and self-reflect on all that we’ve been through. This year has taken so much energy. Between operating rules changing weekly, new daunting headlines daily, and a world full of uncertainty and unknowns - we all know we are spent. It’s important to acknowledge that our resiliency tanks are pretty much at zero when it comes to anything else being thrown our way. Every one of us has at some moment in recent months questioned where we are, who we are, and why we are doing whatever it is that we’re doing. It would be unnatural not to.
But it’s also helpful to realize that in this time, we have all found strength that we didn’t know that we had, that our community has come together with a sense of purpose like never before, and there is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel.
Because of our team’s resiliency, willingness and ability to adapt, and general perseverance – TCV is poised for great things and a bright future. Our restaurants remain community icons and have set a new standard for takeout, our beer production is ramping up with a better package and products mix and promises to grow beyond pre-Covid levels, and Old Trestle has signed terrific distributors and is ready to explode.
We know that our tanks seem empty, and that this last year has felt more like a decade. We are incredibly grateful for our TCV family, and want you to know that we are here for you. If you need someone to talk to, or if there’s anything else we can do for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Alicia or Andy anytime. We are truly looking forward to the time we can safely and responsibly have an all-hands meeting again, or more importantly, a staff celebration party.
And on that last note – one of the many casualties of 2020 was our legendary holiday party, where we also get the opportunity to celebrate key anniversary milestones within TCV. We’ll recognize these folks properly for it down the road, but in the meantime, we would like to sincerely thank and congratulate these folks for celebrating 5 years with TCV in 2020:
· Karlee Andrews
· Carly Coulombe
· Marcos Cruz
· Mayra Diaz
· Jon Mann
· Alex Mezger
· Julia Murphy
· Evan Stagnaro
· Kate Traeger
We sincerely appreciate your loyalty to and longevity with TCV, and we wouldn’t be the company that we are without you.
Our best to all of our TCV Family, and to your loved ones as well. Here’s to a MUCH better 2021, and a bright future.
Cheers!
-Alicia & Andy
